Child Support - Arrears Reduction - Hardship - Reduction Of Permanently Assigned Arrears
A program of Cuyahoga County Job And Family Services
There are two ways to reduce what you owe. A compromise lets you make one big payment or set up a payment plan where your regular child support payments help reduce what you owe. A waiver can reduce what you owe to the state without payment if you can prove financial hardship. Requests for $5,000 or more go to the Ohio Office of Child Support for approval. This program does not reduce money owed directly to the other parent.
