Who can use it
Families with at least one child under 18 or in school can get help if they've had a hardship within the last 3 months.
Languages
English, Spanish on-site. Other languages by phone.
What to expect
They can mediate with landlords, help with utility assistance, and offer financial counseling. You might get up to $1500.
What to bring
  • Before eligibility can be assessed
  • all applicants must provide a completed application and proof of hardship (proof of income loss
  • receipt or bill for medical services
  • new major appliance
  • etc.) Eligible applicants will then be asked to provide government-issued Photo I.D. for all adults
  • Social Security cards for entire household
  • Birth Certificates for all children
  • Report Cards for all school-aged children
  • Proof of income for last 90 days
  • copies of Tax Returns
  • Bank Statements for all accounts for last 2 months
  • and Utility Bills for last month. Once application is completed and proof of hardship is received
  • applicants missing any of the required documents may receive the agency's help in obtaining them.
