- Who can use it
- Families with at least one child under 18 or in school can get help if they've had a hardship within the last 3 months.
- Languages
- English, Spanish on-site. Other languages by phone.
- What to expect
- They can mediate with landlords, help with utility assistance, and offer financial counseling. You might get up to $1500.
- What to bring
- Before eligibility can be assessed
- all applicants must provide a completed application and proof of hardship (proof of income loss
- receipt or bill for medical services
- new major appliance
- etc.) Eligible applicants will then be asked to provide government-issued Photo I.D. for all adults
- Social Security cards for entire household
- Birth Certificates for all children
- Report Cards for all school-aged children
- Proof of income for last 90 days
- copies of Tax Returns
- Bank Statements for all accounts for last 2 months
- and Utility Bills for last month. Once application is completed and proof of hardship is received
- applicants missing any of the required documents may receive the agency's help in obtaining them.
