A program of Chn Housing Partners
A housing counselor will work with you and your landlord or lender to set up a payment plan. The program can help pay utilities, give money advice, and pay property taxes. Families with school-age children may get help buying low-cost computers (computers are not available right now). You can get up to $1500 in help.

- Who can use it
- You must have at least one child under 18 years old living with you. You must have had a hardship in the last 3 months - like losing income or having an unexpected big expense (medical bills, car repair, or broken appliances like a stove, fridge, furnace, or water heater). You must have income or help paying rent going forward. If you were already evicted, you can still get help if you have already found a new place to live. Usually you can only use this program once in your lifetime, but if you have a new emergency after one year has passed, the program may help again on a case-by-case basis.

- What to expect
- Go to the website and find "Renter Resources," then "Renter Supports," then "Housing Stability." Complete the eligibility checker first. If you pass, you will fill out a full application with documents. You can submit documents online, by fax, by mail, or drop them in a secure box on the first floor. A housing counselor will call you to confirm you qualify, set up payment with your landlord, and connect you with other help. Intake is Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. Applications open the first Monday of each month at 8am, and only 50 new applications are taken each month.
