A program of Cuyahoga County Job And Family Services

This program helps pay past due utility bills or set up new service. You can get up to $750 per year for gas, electric, and water combined. The money can be used to catch up on bills, reconnect service that was shut off, or start service at a new home.

You must be a parent, caretaker, relative, legal guardian, or legal custodian of a child age 18 or younger in your home, or be pregnant in your third trimester or later. Your name must be on the gas or electric bill. For water, your name must be on the bill or your lease must say you pay for water. You must try other help first by calling 2-1-1.
