Supportive Services For Veteran Families (Ssvf)

A program of Volunteers Of America Of Ohio And Indiana

Volunteers of America helps veterans pay for their first month's rent and security deposit to move into a home. They also help with rent payments so veterans can keep their current housing. The program gives help finding benefits, dealing with landlords, and connecting to other resources.

Who can use it
You must be a veteran living in Cuyahoga County who is homeless or about to lose your home. Sleeping on someone's couch or sharing a room counts as homeless. You must have an honorable discharge, general discharge, or other than honorable discharge. You must have very low or extremely low income.

You can walk in during business hours or call for information. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
