Although service is generally available year-round, funds do run out periodically; each location may run out at different times. Appointments are generally during the following hours: M-F: 8:30am-4:00pm.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or older and a First Energy/Illuminating Company customer. We can help once per year, and we can't pay reconnection fees. Sometimes, if you're 60 or older, you don't need a shut-off notice.

What to expect
Bring your shut-off notice. You'll need to show your household income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines.
