UTILITY PAYMENT PLANS FOR LOW-INCOME CUSTOMERS - ENROLLMENT / REVERIFICATION

This program helps eligible gas and electric customers keep their service. It's based on your income.

- Who can use it
- You must be an Ohio customer of a utility regulated by PUCO that participates in the PIPP Plus program. Your household income needs to be at or below 175% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

- What to expect
- If you pay your monthly PIPP Plus bill on time and in full, you'll get two credits. One credit forgives the rest of that month's bill, and the second credit forgives 1/24th of any balance you owed before joining PIPP.
- What to bring
- Proof of Income for the last 30 days for all household members 18 years of age and older. Most recent utility bills for gas and/or electric. When first applying client will also need proof of citizenship (birth certificate

- voter registration card
- military service record) or proof of legal resident/qualified alien (naturalization papers
- INS I.D. card). For reverification will not need proof of citizenship unless it is not on file with PIPP. Other documents may be required based on the individual situation. If claiming zero income
- must bring most recent IRS tax transcript
- if someone has been financially helping household within the past 90 days
- must bring a signed and dated letter from that person
