Who can use it
You must be a veteran with an honorable discharge, active duty military, or a dependent of a veteran. You must have lived in Geauga County for 90 days. They consider your income and benefits.

What to expect
You'll get vouchers for the help you need, and the amount depends on what you show you need.
What to bring
  • Documentation requirements are extensive and will vary with service sought. They will include at least: DD214
  • proof of residency in Geauga County for at least 90 days
  • a doctor's statement of client's status as unemployable or capable of limited employment
  • and pay stubs for the previous 2 months. For burial assistance
  • must be able to prove need. All requirements will be explained at initial visit and in the information packet provided.
