Who can use it
You can get help if you are active duty military (any branch), a reservist on federal active duty, or retired directly from the military. Your family can also get help.

What to expect
You might get a loan with no interest, a grant (money you don't pay back), or a mix of both.
What to bring
  • Families will need to have the military member's Social Security number
  • rank

  • military address
  • commander or first sergeant names

  • and the TDY/deployment location. Military personnel must have their military ID card.
